Nieuwe Instituut opens alternative sports bar installation in Rotterdam
The Nieuwe Instituut, located in Rotterdam and dedicated to architecture, design, and digital culture, is set to unveil SIDELINED: A Space to Rethink Togetherness. Starting Friday, July 10, the Deck of the Nieuwe Instituut will be reimagined as a unique sports bar. This installation has previously been showcased at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Concéntrico Festival in Logroño, Spain. Visitors will have the chance to engage in play, experience activities, and foster connections, all at no cost. This initiative investigates how architectural design can create environments that promote inclusion and coexistence in the realm of sports.
