Nidus Architects Complete Kreuzberghof Courtyard House in Düsseldorf

Architecture firm Nidus has completed the Kreuzberghof project in Düsseldorf's Kaiserswerth district, featuring a new wooden courtyard house alongside a 1920s front house. Curated by Hadir Al Koshta, the 330-square-meter development connects both structures through a shared courtyard with perennial plants and ivy, creating a microclimate. The project team includes architects Annelen Vollenbroich and Ana Vollenbroich, with technical work by Paula Averbeck and design contributions from Anna Vöck. Photography was handled by Volker Conradus, and suppliers included Bocci, JUNG, Lacanche, Vallone, and Wastberg. The design continues the area's historical courtyard typology rather than standing as an isolated object.
