New Woodworking School to Open in Covington in 2027

other · 2026-07-05

Lost Art Press is launching a new woodworking school in Covington, Kentucky, slated to open in January 2027. The school will occupy the warehouse space attached to the Lost Art Press retail storefront at 407 Madison Ave., following a series of operational shifts. After losing insurance coverage for classes at their Willard Street workshop, and moving warehouse operations to a larger facility a mile away, the vacated space became available. Two unnamed woodworkers will run the school as an independent business, closely aligned with Lost Art Press. Founders Christopher Schwarz and Megan Fitzpatrick will teach, along with other instructors. The school will share space and facilities with the storefront, allowing visitors to observe classes. Students will have easy access to books and tools. The location is near Covington's hotel district, restaurants, and bars. New classes not previously offered are planned for 2027.
