New Director Dennis Brzek Opens Inaugural Exhibition at Berlin's Mies van der Rohe Haus

Dennis Brzek, recently appointed as director of Berlin's Mies van der Rohe Haus, has launched his inaugural program with the exhibition 'What's going on?'. This group exhibition features works by seven contemporary artists: Dora Budor, Clara Hausmann, Samuel Jeffery, Tam Ochiai, Oliver Tirré, Melvin Way, and Constantina Zavitsanos. The show presents a combination of existing artworks alongside newly commissioned pieces created specifically in response to the exhibition site. Located within the historic Haus Lemke building in Berlin's Alt-Hohenschönhausen neighborhood, the exhibition explores tensions between historical context and contemporary artistic practice. Through various media, the participating artists investigate themes of temporality, absence, and personal narrative, utilizing both individual and collective memories as artistic material.
