Neon to distribute Luca Guadagnino's Sam Altman film 'Artificial'
Neon, the independent US distributor, has acquired Luca Guadagnino's film 'Artificial' about OpenAI CEO Sam Altman after Amazon MGM Studios dropped the project. The film, written by Simon Rich, reconstructs the November 2023 boardroom coup that briefly ousted Altman. Andrew Garfield plays Altman, with Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, Ike Barinholtz as Elon Musk, and Mark Rylance in an undisclosed role.
