National Capital Planning Commission Approves White House Ballroom Project Despite Legal Halt

This decision occurred shortly after U.S. District Judge Richard Leon issued a preliminary injunction on March 31, blocking the project's advancement due to lack of Congressional authorization. NCPC Chairman Will Scharf noted discrepancies between presidential statements and the official proposal, while President Trump argued the ruling was inapplicable since private funding supports the ballroom, though taxpayer money covers related security enhancements.
