National Academy of Design Announces 2026 National Academicians Including WORKac Principals

The National Academy of Design has revealed its 2026 class of National Academicians, which includes 12 distinguished artists and architects such as Amale Andraos and Dan Wood from WORKac, along with landscape architect Gary Hilderbrand of Reed Hilderbrand. Executive director Gregory Wessner highlighted that this marks the inaugural class of the Academy's third century. Established in 2003, WORKac is recognized for notable projects like Public Farm 1 and the Beirut Museum of Art. Hilderbrand's firm boasts over 100 design accolades and is currently working on a new wing for the Clark Art Institute. Additional inductees comprise Candida Alvarez, Kendall Buster, and Robert Storr. The official induction ceremony is set for late October 2023 at the New Museum.
