NASA Releases Patriotic Cosmic Fireworks for US Semiquincentennial
NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has released four new space images in red, white, and blue to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. The images feature Cassiopeia A (combined with JWST data), NGC 3603 (with Hubble), Messier 94 (with citizen scientist data), and galaxy cluster ZwCL 0024+1652 (with Hubble). Sonifications of three images were also released. The project was processed by L. Frattare and K. Arcand.
