Namelok Architects Complete First Phase of Mennorode Hotel Renovation in the Netherlands

Architecture firm Namelok has completed the initial phase of a renovation and masterplan for the Mennorode Hotel and Conference Center in Elspeet, the Netherlands. The project involves updating a former Mennonite community house that was originally established in 1925. Over time, the site evolved into a collection of low-rise structures situated within a wooded landscape. The architectural work covers an area of 520 square meters and was finished in 2025. The design was led by Wiegert Ambagts, with contributions from Kaj van Boheemen and Léa Alapini on the design team. Van Dillen Bouwgroep served as the general contractor for the construction. The project falls under the category of hospitality architecture and utilized products from manufacturer Artino. Photography for the project was handled by Crispijn van Sas, and the curation was overseen by Hadir Al Koshta. This renovation represents a significant update to a historical site that has transitioned from a religious community space to a modern hospitality venue.
