Nalini Malani on Painting, India, and Venice Exhibition in ArtReview Podcast

ArtReview released episode eight of its podcast featuring artist Nalini Malani. Born in 1946 in Karachi, a year before Partition, Malani is a pioneering force in Indian contemporary art and video art. She was the only female participant in the Vision Exchange Workshop founded by Akbar Padamsee in 1969. In the episode, she speaks with ArtReview editor-in-chief Mark Rappolt about painting, lexicon, India, contemporary art's slumber, and her current exhibition in Venice. The exhibition, titled 'Of Woman Born', is on view at Magazzini del Sale in Venice until November.
