Nair Benedicto's '…na boca da noite…' Book Launch at Kobbi Gallery
Kobbi Gallery in São Paulo is set to unveil '…na boca da noite…', a photobook by Nair Benedicto, on August 22, from 11am to 4pm. This 64-page publication, limited to 500 copies, showcases 30 photographs captured along the São Francisco River between 2018 and 2024. Designed by Fausto Chermont, the book highlights a poetic aspect of Benedicto’s renowned documentary photography. These images were produced during the Mission Rio São Francisco, spearheaded by Pierre Devin. Additionally, a reflective text by Benedicto from 2024 is included. Born in São Paulo in 1940, she co-founded Agência F4 and NAFoto, focusing on Brazilian social issues. The book will retail for R$ 150, with photographs priced at R$ 6,000 and R$ 9,000.
