MVRDV Designs Glass Facade for Tiffany & Co Beijing Flagship Store

Dutch architecture studio MVRDV has completed a new flagship store for Tiffany & Co in Beijing's Taikoo-Li Sanlitun neighborhood. The four-story building features a 20-meter-high curved facade made of translucent, frosted glass fins in an icy blue hue. According to MVRDV founding partner Jacob van Rijs, the design creates a dynamic visual effect that changes with light and movement, offering glimpses of the interior. The facade is demountable for future repurposing and glows at night. This marks MVRDV's fifth store design for the jewelry brand, with references to Elsa Peretti's Bone Cuff jewelry. The interior was handled by Tiffany & Co's in-house team.
