MVRDV Breaks Ground on EU TUMO Convergence Center in Yerevan
On February 24, MVRDV began construction of the EU TUMO Convergence Center in Yerevan's Tumanyan Park, with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attending the ceremony. The flexible, multifunctional building will support TUMO's mission of providing free education in technical and creative skills, bridging higher education and the technology industry. The 120-meter-long structure features cantilevered sections overlooking the Hrazdan River gorge and Mount Ararat, with interior spaces organized around three large atriums. The project includes sustainability features to reduce carbon emissions and is designed for long-term adaptability.
