Mutlu Aksu's Reality Show exhibition critiques visual culture at Galeri 77

Galeri 77 presents Mutlu Aksu's debut solo exhibition Reality Show from April 9th to May 23rd. The artist examines how visual representations construct everyday reality through ordinary scenes, familiar objects, and socially coded figures. Aksu's work reveals power relations, forms of pressure, and internalization processes encountered in daily life. The exhibition questions whether reality television truly captures reality once cameras, lighting, and editing intervene. It extends this inquiry to contemporary smartphone practices of reviewing, framing, and editing images before sharing them.
