Musip Museum of Information and Press Planned for Paris in 2029
On September 28, 2026, journalists Antoine Mariotti and Cécile Galluccio revealed their intention to establish the Musée de l’information et de la presse (Musip) at the Eiffel Tower, with plans to launch the museum in Paris by 2029. This virtual initiative aims to tackle the growing distrust in media due to competition from social media and AI, receiving backing from La Poste, Radio France, AFP, Charlie Hebdo, and Reporters Without Borders. Under the leadership of Annick Cojean, Musip will host exhibitions, conferences, and screenings, including two exhibitions scheduled for 2027 in Vichy and Los Angeles in collaboration with UNESCO. The project, estimated at €20 million, seeks public funding while highlighting private contributions and aims for a building of 4,000–5,000 m². Musip will coexist with the Maison du dessin de presse, set to open in 2027.
