Museum of Life and Science Programs Supported by BioCryst Pharmaceuticals

The Museum of Life and Science has launched two educational initiatives with funding from BioCryst Pharmaceuticals. The Teen Science Café program began in February 2025, featuring sessions on artificial intelligence and neuroscience that engaged over 60 students. A third session is scheduled for May 21, 2025, focusing on pollinators. The Sparks Afterschool Program, now in its fourth year, partners with Brogden Middle School to provide weekly science activities for middle school students. BioCryst volunteers participate regularly, with one senior clinical scientist returning for a second year. These collaborations aim to expand STEM career awareness and foster community connections through hands-on learning experiences.
