Museum of Life and Science Hosts Biotech Charrette for Future Exhibit Development
The Museum of Life and Science collaborated with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center to organize a Biotech Charrette on October 27, 2025. Over 40 professionals from biotechnology firms, academic institutions, and research organizations participated in discussions to plan an upcoming exhibition and related educational initiatives. The event featured a welcome from North Carolina State Senator Mike Woodard, a tour of the museum's redesigned spaces, and a hands-on laboratory activity led by Peregrine, the Associate Program Manager for Humanities and Life Sciences. Participants engaged in experiments exploring electrochemical signals and created artwork using rust as a medium. The charrette aimed to gather insights on biotechnology trends and foster partnerships for the museum's future programming, with discussions covering topics such as biomaterials, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural technologies.
