Museo Reina Sofía Seeks Head of Exhibitions with €50,249 Base Salary

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía has announced an open competition to fill a permanent staff position for Head of the Exhibitions Area, reporting to the artistic subdirectorate. The role involves leading, coordinating, and managing the museum's exhibition program across curatorial, logistical, and budgetary dimensions. Responsibilities include supervising temporary exhibitions, managing administrative agreements with artists and institutions, and overseeing new productions and site-specific works. The selected candidate will collaborate extensively with internal departments such as Collections, Restoration-Conservation, Artwork Registration, Education, Public Programs, Editorial Activities, Communication, and Studies. Additionally, they will propose and manage exhibition itineraries to other art institutions nationally and internationally.
