Museo Burel's GIORNALETTO CLANDESTINO: Five-Issue Print Project Ends with Final DJ Set in Belluno

publication · 2026-10-22

From March to June, the Museo Burel in Belluno unveiled GIORNALETTO CLANDESTINO, a physical editorial initiative comprising five issues, with no digital version available. Daniela Zangrando, the museum's director, characterized this project as a reaction to societal apathy. Accompanied by illustrations from Paolo Tirelli, the publication features contributions from various writers, including Zangrando and Fabiola Cangiano. Titled 'an act of care for the word,' it embraced artistic expression. Zangrando viewed clandestinity as a means of survival, drawing inspiration from André Romão's 2022 work and discussions on climate change. The project was distributed in markets, libraries, and bakeries, extending to coastal areas. It concluded on 25 July with a Final DJ Set, followed by dismantling. Zangrando referenced Marie-Cécile Zinsou on free speech and Marcel Broodthaers's Jardin d'Hiver.
