MUSAC's 2026 season features Michelangelo Pistoletto exhibition and Spanish artists Carlos León and Ana Laura Aláez

MUSAC, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León, has announced its 2026 programming with a focus on collection activation and major exhibitions. The year concludes in November with a significant exhibition dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto, the Arte Povera founder and postwar contemporary art pioneer. Summer programming includes solo exhibitions by Spanish painter Carlos León and multidisciplinary artist Ana Laura Aláez. The season opens with Montserrat Pis Marcos curating "Is There No Place Like Home?", an exhibition examining evolving concepts of home amid Spain's housing crisis through 45 works from the MUSAC Collection. Another collection-focused exhibition titled "Quasi-Systems" will also be presented. The entire program centers on studying and activating the museum's permanent holdings while addressing contemporary social concerns through historical and emotional lenses.
