Murray Hochman's Late-Career Works at Gallery AP SPACE in New York

Gallery AP SPACE at 555 West 25th Street in New York is showing works by Murray Hochman from April 2 to May 10. The 91-year-old artist, a lifelong New Yorker, has developed a six-decade practice exploring light, color, geometry, and gesture. His mature output since 2000 includes large canvases, ten works on paper, and a freestanding sculpture. An opening reception is scheduled for April 9 between 6 and 8 pm. Co-curated by Alan Goolman, the exhibition highlights Hochman's refined experimentation, notably his use of aerosol paint inspired by 1960s graffiti culture.
