Morphogenesis unveils sandstone-clad ITC Green Centre in Kolkata with 30-metre murals

Morphogenesis, an Indian architecture firm, has finalized the ITC Green Centre, a versatile office complex situated in Kolkata's Rajarhat area. This development showcases sandstone exteriors adorned with 30-metre-tall murals that draw inspiration from Bengali art. Spanning 6.8 hectares, the project comprises office and residential towers, a hotel, and a knowledge centre, representing the initial phase of a broader masterplan. Co-founder Manit Rastogi referred to it as an 'urban anchor' for Rajarhat. To enhance solar exposure and promote natural ventilation, the buildings are positioned at an 18-degree angle. Sandstone panels feature carved murals, including Bengali script on the knowledge centre. An external corridor links the facilities, culminating in an amphitheatre, while co-founder Sonali Rastogi emphasized the fusion of advanced fabrication techniques with traditional artistry.
