Montenegro's Venice Biennale Pavilion Features Siniša Radulović's Multimedia Installation

Siniša Radulović presents his multimedia installation Out of the Blue, I'm Swept Away (2026) at the Montenegro Pavilion during the Venice Biennale. The work creates two distinct zones: a lower, basement-like area and an upper, fluid space filled with imagery. In the subterranean section, Radulović uses the floorplan of his own living space as a matrix, multiplying it into an architectural pattern that expands into a claustrophobic, dystopian environment. This installation engages with philosopher Peter Sloterdijk's concepts from his 1999 lecture and subsequent essay "Rules for the Human Park: A Response to Heidegger's Letter on Humanism," where Sloterdijk describes cultures and civilizations as "anthropogenic greenhouses" governed by domestication, training, control, and social gardening programs. Radulović's work explores themes of vitality, naturalness, and transformation within these constrained anthropic systems. The installation's mechanics and logic create a denaturalized, depersonalized space that challenges conventional notions of living environments. The artist's approach transforms personal domestic architecture into an expanding pattern that becomes increasingly unpoetic and confined.
