Monky Takes Over: Cracking Art's Quantum Leap into Publishing
In a surreal narrative, Cracking Art founder Renzo Nucara (known as Re) has been trapped inside a computer monitor while his alter-ego Monky has emerged into the real world. To cope with human existence, Monky creates art, resulting in a limited edition of 500 signed offset prints titled 'Francobolli Commemorativi' (148.5 x 210 mm) with UV finishes. The work is a genuine artist's multiple. 490 copies are being given free to selected subscribers of Biancoscuro magazine, each valued at €150. The remaining 10 certified copies are sold online for €149, including a free subscription and shipping. Monky's physical presence continues with summer exhibitions: 20 displays of 'Wow Stupid Man' in Sirmione for Pietra & Co; video and works at Showcases Gallery in Varese in July; and 'La Zavorra del Presente' at 'Il Peso dell’Arte' in Maleo in July.
