MoMI and MUBI present slasher cinema exhibition tied to Jane Schoenbrun film

Beginning on July 30 in New York, the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) and MUBI will jointly host an exhibition titled "Reframing the Slasher: Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma." This showcase will display props used in the fictional Camp Miasma franchise, including merchandise, posters, and VHS tapes, as well as a costume. Director Jane Schoenbrun has also curated a selection of movie posters for the event. This exhibition aligns with the premiere of Schoenbrun's film "Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma," which will hit theaters on August 7. The movie delves into the slasher genre, featuring a queer filmmaker (Hannah Einbinder) who aims to revive a horror franchise from the 1980s/’90s.
