Modular Educational Furniture System TRIMINÓ Designed for Early Childhood Learning
Designer Lais Ferraz has developed TRIMINÓ, a modular furniture system for early childhood education that repurposes standard school storage units into interactive learning tools. The system incorporates sensory features like chalkboard surfaces, analog clocks, and lettered handles to support motor skills, literacy, and spatial awareness development in children up to six years old. Designed for budget-conscious educational settings, it uses 'invisible engineering' with precision joinery and adhesive assembly to eliminate visible hardware, ensuring safety and durability while allowing local manufacturing. The project transforms classroom furniture into active educational components that encourage learning through play.
