MoAD's Emerging Artists Program Celebrates 10 Years with 2026-2027 Cohort
In San Francisco, the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) has revealed the cohort for its 2026-2027 Emerging Artists Program, marking a decade of its existence. The chosen artists include Jasmine Ross, Demetri Broxton, Dorian Reid, and Tahirah Rasheed, each set to host solo exhibitions. Ross's show, titled 'Beauty Plus,' will take place from March 18 to May 31, 2026, highlighting a Black-owned beauty supply store. Broxton's textile exhibition is scheduled for June 10 to August 16, 2026. Reid will present from September 30 to December 6, 2026, focusing on personal history and liberation. Rasheed's neon installations on Black womanhood will be displayed from December 16, 2026, to March 7, 2027. Since its inception in 2015, the program has aided 30 artists and is transitioning to a residency model while broadening its reach both nationally and internationally.
