Mo.C.A. Traces Urban Art from Prehistoric Marks to Banksy
The Montecatini Terme Contemporary Art (Mo.C.A.) has launched a new exhibition titled 'Giotto Was Banksy’s Grandfather: We Are in the World to Leave a Mark.' This innovative showcase, organized by curator Bruno Ialuna, explores the human desire to make marks across time and space. It features an impressive array of artworks that spans more than 60,000 years, featuring ancient cave art, Val Camonica inscriptions, graffiti from Pompeii, urban writing from New York, and contemporary street art. Visitors can experience this exhibit until May 2, 2027, supported by Mare Laboratorio di innovazione sociale and local governmental bodies.
