Minerva Tower in Mumbai Now India's Tallest Completed Structure

architecture-design · 2026-03-19

Architect Hafeez Contractor has completed Minerva Tower, a 301-meter residential skyscraper in Mumbai that now holds the title of India's tallest finished building. The 91-story dual-tower structure contains 362 apartments and was developed as part of a slum redevelopment project under Mumbai's Slum Rehabilitation Authority. The tower's height resulted from regulatory requirements and land efficiency rather than architectural ambition, according to the architect. It is one of only two supertall buildings in India exceeding 300 meters, with the other still under construction.
