Military Aviation Losses Reported in Ongoing Conflict with Iran

During the ongoing conflict with Iran, the United States military has experienced significant aircraft losses. At least 16 military planes have been affected, including 10 Reaper drones struck by hostile fire and six other aircraft severely damaged in various incidents. The most notable losses resulted from accidents: three F-15 fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by friendly forces in Kuwait, and a KC-135 refueling tanker was destroyed during operations, killing all six crew members. Additionally, five other KC-135 tankers sustained damage from an Iranian missile attack. These developments highlight the operational challenges and risks faced by U.S. forces as the conflict enters its fourth week.
