Midjourney launches medical division with futuristic MRI scanner

Midjourney, the AI image generator company, has announced a surprise pivot into healthcare with the launch of Midjourney Medical. The company unveiled a futuristic MRI-like scanner that uses ultrasonic sound waves and water instead of traditional magnetic fields. The device costs a fraction of a conventional MRI, takes only 60 seconds versus the typical 60 minutes, and produces a 3D map of the body at nearly a hundred times the speed. Users step into a shallow pool of golden light and descend on a platform through a ring of half a million tiny sensor squares that act as speakers and microphones, generating terabytes of data per second.
