An exhibition featuring reproductions of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes has opened at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey. The display, titled 'Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition,' began on April 10 and will run indefinitely. Organized by See Global Entertainment, the presentation showcases all 34 of the artist's ceiling and altar masterpieces from the Vatican chapel, recreated using specialized printing methods. Visitors can view detailed replicas of works like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement in a setting without crowds or time restrictions, allowing extended viewing. Tickets are priced at $28 each. Martin Biallas, the exhibition's producer, expressed enthusiasm about bringing this immersive experience to New Jersey, noting its appeal to both art enthusiasts and first-time viewers. The exhibition originally debuted in Dallas, Texas in 2016 and has since traveled internationally, attracting over three million visitors with high ratings. This event reflects a broader trend of immersive art exhibitions that gained popularity during pandemic lockdowns. Meanwhile, the actual Sistine Chapel in Rome is undergoing restoration, including cleaning of Michelangelo's frescoes, with completion expected in early April.
