MFA Houston presents first US exhibition of Swiss jeweler Bernhard Schobinger
The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston will present a groundbreaking exhibition showcasing the work of Swiss jeweler Bernhard Schobinger, marking the first of its kind in the United States. Titled 'Going Underground: The Jewels of Bernhard Schobinger,' this event is set to open on September 3, 2026, and will be available until January 3, 2027, in the Kinder Building. The exhibition will include 53 notable pieces of innovative jewelry, as well as sculptures, crafted from 1968 to the present. MFAH director Gary Tinterow emphasized the importance of this exhibit in recognizing Schobinger's influence on contemporary jewelry and art.
