Meta's Superintelligence Labs has introduced Muse Image, its inaugural image generation model, which is now being deployed across Instagram, WhatsApp, and the Meta AI app. This innovative tool enables users to generate images from text prompts or photos sourced from any public Instagram account, along with the ability to modify existing images. Meta refers to Muse Image as a creative collaborator that understands your environment, facilitating the creation of high-quality visuals for feeds, stories, or chats. Illustrative examples include converting a photo into a claymation figure, depicting a user paragliding, or crafting a vintage television scene. Users can mention specific Instagram accounts to create AI images featuring them together; those mentioned can decline via the 'Sharing and reuse' menu. Muse Image is available for free for casual use, though frequent users may require a Meta AI subscription.
