MCH Group Reports Strong Half-Year Growth, Plans New Basel Jewellery Fair with Informa Markets
In the first half of 2023, the Swiss MCH Group, which owns Art Basel, announced a rise in both revenue and profit. Operating income increased from 222 million to 249 million Swiss francs, and profit surged from 4.4 million to 18.4 million francs, largely due to the Community Platforms division. This segment's revenue grew to 155 million francs, up from 118 million, with EBIT more than doubling from 12.4 million to 22.6 million francs. Revenue in North and South America rose from 79 million to 94 million francs, while Switzerland's revenue fell from 83 million to 63 million francs. Additionally, MCH revealed a partnership with Informa Markets for the Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair, set to launch in Basel in spring 2027.
