Matthew Cole's Debut at BEERS London Explores Interiority

Matthew Cole debuts his exhibition, Cabin Fever, at BEERS London. Originally from New Jersey and now residing in New York, the American artist transforms the outside environment into emotionally intense depictions of indoor settings. Following a residency in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, Cole's experiences in nature influenced his artistic direction upon returning to his studio. His exploration of the rugged North Atlantic coastline is reimagined through narrative-focused works that emphasize home interiors. These pieces are inspired by the storytelling and musical heritage of Atlantic Canada, creating subtly eerie themes that hint at deeply personal reflections.
