MASEREEL Art Center to Open Circular Artist Pavilion in Kasterlee Forest in 2026

MASEREEL art center will inaugurate a new circular artist pavilion on June 6 and 7, 2026, in a forest near Kasterlee, Belgium. Designed by U/Define and FRANTZEN et al, the structure replaces 1970s-era A-frame residences with a building that houses nine artists. Its circular form organizes daily rhythms for residents, balancing solitude with collaboration. The project embodies a philosophy of circular design, shared living, and landscape sensitivity, rethinking how artists create and connect with their environment.
