Marseille's MAC Presents 'La vie climatique' Featuring 150 Works from French Private Collections

From April 4 to September 20, 2026, the Musée d'Art Contemporain in Marseille will host 'La vie climatique. Histoires sensibles des collections privées.' Curated by Stéphanie Airaud and Sandra Delacourt, this exhibition showcases more than 150 pieces from 70 private collections in France, with support from ADIAF. It highlights Mediterranean artists and includes works such as Michèle Sylvander's photograph from 2015 and Sandra Gamarra Heshiki's 2018 vitrine. Featured artists include Abdelkader Benchamma, Tarik Kiswanson, and Noémie Goudal, while overlooked figures like Joachim Bandau and rising stars such as Assoukrou Aké are also represented. Contemporary issues are illustrated through Mercedes Azpilicueta's tapestry from 2021, fostering connections among the displayed works, despite some challenges with labeling.
