Marlo Pascual's First Solo Museum Show in 15 Years at NMWA
From July 24, 2026, to February 28, 2027, the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) in Washington, D.C., will host "Marlo Pascual: Making Something Out of Something." This marks the first solo museum showcase of Pascual's artwork in 15 years. An influential American artist (1972–2020), Pascual was recognized for her innovative use of found images, which blurred the boundaries between photography and sculpture. A member of the "Pictures" generation, she was associated with notable artists such as Barbara Kruger and Cindy Sherman. Tragically, her career was cut short when she passed away from cancer at the age of 48 in 2020. The exhibition offers insight into her insightful and impactful artistic approach.
