Mark McNulty's In Clubland Collects 550 Photos Spanning 35 Years of Rave Culture
On 5 November, Modern Sky will release *In Clubland: 35 Summers of Love*, a 240-page book packed with over 550 images captured by Liverpool native Mark McNulty. This publication explores the evolution of dance music, spanning from acid house to Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, and features the all-female DJ collective Girls Don't Sync. Additionally, McNulty's photography will be showcased at Tate Britain as part of the British Culture Archive's exhibition *The '90s: Art & Fashion*. His journey began in 1990 at Quadrant Park, the UK’s inaugural legal all-nighter. The book highlights iconic venues like Cream, BackIIBasics, Tresor, and The Haçienda. In 1987, McNulty also had a brief stint with the band Eat My Dog and later contributed to Mixmag and DJ Magazine.
