Marinella Senatore to Illuminate St. Moritz with Site-Specific Luminarie in 2026

exhibition · 2026-08-27

The newly formed Kulturstiftung St. Moritz (St. Moritz Cultural Foundation) has unveiled its inaugural project: REFLECTION, a public art initiative aimed at commissioning works that resonate with the alpine environment. The first edition will showcase renowned Italian artist Marinella Senatore, who is set to unveil her light installations titled 'I Contain Multitudes' from late August to October 2026. These installations will be located at Schulhausplatz and Forum Paracelsus in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Senatore's Luminarie, inspired by traditional Italian festive lights, will be uniquely crafted for the site. The foundation, which will invite artists for residencies every two years, seeks to weave contemporary art into the fabric of daily life in the resort town.
