Maria Soria's 'Peripezia' Exhibition in Rome Explores Mental Health Through Illustration

An exhibition titled 'Peripezia' by illustrator Maria Soria is on view at Sacripante Art Gallery in Rome from February 7 to February 18, 2026. The show presents limited-edition fine art prints from Soria's illustrated book of the same name, which depicts a child's solitary journey through exclusion and mental distress. The project is a collaboration between A-HEAD Project (an initiative of Angelo Azzurro Onlus) and Galileo Editore, aiming to address depression, social exclusion, and emotional fragility. The exhibition is planned to travel to schools and adolescent mental health centers as part of an ongoing effort to reduce stigma around mental illness through art.
