Margine Studio Renovates 1970s Puglia Villa with Minimalist Geometry and Reclaimed Marble

Lèvanzo, a villa located in Caprarica, Puglia, has undergone renovations by Margine Studio, focusing on simplicity in form and continuity of materials. The original octagonal canopies were taken down to expose the fundamental geometry, resulting in an essentialist aesthetic with curved living spaces and rectangular sleeping areas. A cohesive white plaster finish envelops the exterior, while reclaimed Rosa del Garda marble flooring connects the 1970s history with modern design. The entrance veranda has been integrated into the main heated space, enhancing the thermal envelope. Instead of traditional walls, sculptural organization is utilized, featuring a custom curved sofa and a central fireplace. The kitchen, designed as a monolithic structure with beige lacquered panels, conceals entryways. The sleeping quarters offer a walk-in closet and contemporary suites, showcasing a trend in adaptive reuse.
