Margaret Howell is launching an innovative version of the iconic Dr Martens 1461 shoe, part of her MHL collection. This updated style features enhancements including a padded heel collar, unwaxed cotton laces, and a double-stitched toe, taking cues from traditional work footwear. Crafted at Dr Martens' Northamptonshire facility, these shoes utilize chrome-free leather sourced from CF Stead in Leeds. Scheduled for release on July 16, 2026, they will be available through Howell’s official site, her retail stores, and select outlets such as END. This collaboration showcases a shared dedication to longevity and classic design values, according to Dr Martens' Michael Ford.
