Margaret Howell curates AR covers exhibition for 130th anniversary

exhibition · 2026-05-15

British designer Margaret Howell has curated a display of five Architectural Review covers at her flagship store in London to celebrate the magazine's 130th anniversary. The exhibition opens this week at 34 Wigmore Street, featuring covers selected by Howell from the AR's archives of some 1,500 issues. The prints are available as limited editions of 200 numbered copies, printed on 350gsm Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper with a debossed AR monogram. The covers include works by architects Hélène Binet and 2026 RIBA Gold Medal winner Níall McLaughlin. This is the second collaboration between Howell and AR, following a similar exhibition in 2023. The prints will be available from 14 May to 14 June 2026. Howell's store has previously hosted architecture-themed exhibitions, including 'British Cooling Towers – Sculptural Giants' in 2023 with the Twentieth Century Society.
