Man fatally stabbed at bank in Regensburg, Germany; suspect detained

On Thursday, a 20-year-old man from Germany was taken into custody following a fatal stabbing at a bank in Regensburg, located in southern Germany. Approximately three hours after the event was reported, special forces clad in chain mail entered the premises and apprehended the suspect. Paramedics administered first aid to the victim, who subsequently succumbed to his injuries in the hospital; it is still uncertain if he was a customer or an employee. Two additional individuals were evacuated safely. Initially, authorities were concerned about a hostage crisis but now believe it was the act of a single assailant. The investigation is being classified as homicide and robbery.
