Magnum Photos Launches Year-Long Storytelling Program for Emerging Photographers
Magnum Photos has introduced the Magnum Learn Lab for Storytellers, a comprehensive year-long educational initiative designed to assist photographers in transitioning from practice to professional careers. The program addresses challenges in an oversaturated industry by offering structured mentorship, immersive residencies, and professional development sessions. Key mentors include Magnum photographers Newsha Tavakolian, Antoine d’Agata, and Rafał Milach, alongside industry professionals Ania Nalecka-Milach and Tania Bohórquez Salinas. The first edition is scheduled to begin in January 2027, coinciding with Magnum's 80th anniversary, and will culminate with presentations at Paris Photo in November 2027. The curriculum combines online expert-led sessions with in-person residencies, focusing on project development, industry navigation, and storytelling refinement.
