Maggi Hambling and Sarah Lucas Present Joint Exhibition 'Ooo La La' at Berlin's CFA Gallery

British artists Maggi Hambling and Sarah Lucas are presenting their collaborative exhibition 'Ooo La La' at Contemporary Fine Arts (CFA) in Berlin. The two artists, who have been friends for two decades, previously showed a version of this exhibition in London in late 2025. Hambling, a painter and sculptor known for controversial public works like 'Scallop' and the Mary Wollstonecraft memorial, displays her 'Wall of Water' series, inspired by a near-fatal heart attack in 2022. Lucas exhibits her ongoing 'Bunnies' series—assemblages of clothing and objects that critique the objectification of women—described as a burlesque for the contemporary era. The exhibition highlights their long-standing artistic friendship and individual practices addressing themes of mortality, violence, and materiality.
