Magdalena Wywrot's 'Pestka' Photobook Exhibition at ICP Showcases Eight-Year Polish Family Chronicle

The International Center of Photography in New York is presenting an exhibition featuring Magdalena Wywrot's photobook 'Pestka,' published by Deadbeat Club. Wywrot documented her life in Poland with her daughter Barbara over eight years, producing approximately 600 images that were edited by ICP Creative Director David Campany. Design refinement and material selection were handled by Clint and Alex Woodside of Deadbeat Club. Displayed at 1133 6th Avenue in Manhattan, the exhibition includes selected spreads from printed but unbound pages alongside test prints. The book emerged as a notable publication in late 2024, capturing intimate family moments through Wywrot's photographic lens. This presentation offers insight into the collaborative process between artist, editor, and publishers in creating a significant contemporary photobook.
