Madonna's 'Confessions II' album as total artwork

Madonna releases her fifteenth studio album 'Confessions II' on July 3, 2026 via Warner Records, conceived as a total work of art spanning music, film, fashion, and collectible objects. The album, a sequel to 2005's 'Confessions on a Dance Floor', was sparked by her Celebration Tour. A 13-minute short film 'Confessions II – The Film' premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 5, directed by the duo TORSO, featuring cameos by Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, and Arca. The album includes a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the track 'Bring Your Love'. The project's visual identity is tied to Madonna's private art collection, notably a Frida Kahlo self-portrait she acquired at auction, as revealed in a Vogue Italia video tour of her London home. The physical release includes a double 180g vinyl gatefold with a 24-page art booklet featuring TORSO photographs and Dolce&Gabbana costume sketches, as well as a limited Deluxe Art Boxset with transparent colored vinyl, a numbered print of the cover art by Rafael Pavarotti (who shot for Vogue Italia), and an exclusive pass to film content. Madonna, at 67, positions the album as a cultural manifesto rather than a nostalgic product.
